We would especially direct your attention to the holdings of our SHGS Library. You will find an abundance of Spencer family documentation and publications there which is available to our members to borrow or purchase.

The Spencer DNA project was begun in January 2001, and is a successful ongoing effort to link families together via scientific methods. It has proven to be another good tool to help further family research. A link is provided to learn more about it, and to see the current status of the Spencer DNA Project.

A list of SHGS Officers and Staff is provided along with their addresses. Please contact any of these people to gain additional information about SHGS as you may require.

Finally, you will find application forms for membership in SHGS which can be downloaded and printed from this site. SHGS is an active organization made up of enthusiastic family researchers who are eager to assist in genealogical efforts. We encourage active participation since that will provide the greatest return from your membership.
